Designing a university for the new millennium: David Helfand

This is something close to my heart, because if I live long enough and have enough money, I will design and create a 21st Century University that was protected from the political wims of public policy, insulated from the lethargic inertia of ancient practices, cut off from the linear approach, structured around opening up and leading forth, not arranged in silos, block-organised, strongly juxtaposed, incorporating freedom, and bustling with the energy of knowledge creation and innovation. His views have a lot in common with my thinking, with the possible exception that I would start with innovation and build it in as a principle and a practice.
