Critical thinking

Spread the love

I am quite passionate about the importance of applying critical thinking to everything we do. By critical thinking here, I mean

intellectually disciplined process of actively and skillfully conceptualizing, applying, analysing, synthesizing, and/or evaluating information gathered from, or generated by, observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, or communication, as a guide to belief and action.

Critical thinking is an alternative to belief without reason, which is usually (or always) demanded by religions.

This category is used to post articles that are designed to be thought provoking, or to show holes in some of our most cherished beliefs, including countries, religion, race and ethnicity, health, diet, etc. More important than just the thinking is living a reasoned life, taking actions based on sound empirical evidence. Stay away from posts in this category if you are uninterested in thinking!
